CEBS would like to invite you to participate at the VIII XBRL European Supervisors Workshop, hosted by De Nederlandsche Bank at the Aristo Amsterdam Conference Center. The aim of the event would be focused on the practical problems that the implementation of XBRL COREP and FINREP taxonomies is creating to the banks and investment firms in Europe. We would like to gather feedback from the industry, on the practical problems their institutions are facing with the use of XBRL for regulatory reporting, either from a domestic perspective or in a cross-border basis.

We would like to invite members to nominate experts to attend as participants and speakers for this workshop. Please send your speaker nomination to Jacobo Varela (jacobo.varela@c-ebs.org) at your earliest convenience.

Please confirm your registration by the 22nd of October 2007. Applications received by October 22nd will be immediately confirmed in written, to facilitate travel arrangements. One Day One e-Line Workshop, November 5th - 6th, Amsterdam

Central Banks and financial supervisors in Europe and beyond have similar processes in place for the collection, verification, storage and publication of data streams. The One day One e-Line workshop presents an overview of the e-Line system and directions on how you can join the e-Line initiative (see agenda here). It is mainly organized for European Supervisors and representatives of the Statistical and ICT departments of Central Banks within the EU as well as representatives of the ECB. But, in case of interests of other countries outside the EU, they are more than welcome to participate the e-Line workshop and to join the initiative. arraowObjective

The aim of the workshop is to update CEBS members in the latest developments of the CEBS taxonomies and in the XBRL specification. Additionally, it is envisaged the participation of banking industry in this event to gather information from the practical problems their institutions are facing with the use of XBRL for regulatory reporting, either from a domestic perspective or in a cross-border basis.

arraowFormat

The workshop will hold a number of presentations and panel discussions. A final plenary meeting will help participants to arise any concern, suggestion or clarification they may have.

The workshop is open for XBRL experts from national authorities, banking institutions and software industry. Participation is at no cost.

A summary of the discussions will be prepared, including potential open issues in the development of CEBS taxonomies.
